Recreational Gymnastics (Gym-for-All)
Onslow Gymnastic Club offers recreational gymnastics classes for children who want to learn new skills, gain strength, coordination and flexibility, and have fun. Class size is limited, and we have a strong coach-to-gymnast ratio. In each of our Gym-for-All classes, children develop skills on a variety of gymnastic equipment including Vault, Bar, Beam and Floor.
No previous gymnastic experience is required for any of our Gym-for-All Classes. Children are in class with their peers. The coaches work with each child based on their own skill level. Click on the Register Tab to register for our recreational classes or send us an enquiry through the Contact Tab if you have any questions.

TeamGym
TeamGym is an exciting style of group performance that is very popular in Europe. It brings together tumbling, mini-tramp skills, dance and aerobics to provide an energetic, creative and choreographed performance with the aim of attending competitions toward year-end. Children who would like to join should have tumbling skills, a background in gymnastics and/or dance, a good attitude and a commitment to training. Please get in touch with us at onslowgym@xtra.co.nz for more information.
Participation in TeamGym is at the discretion of the coach as the class has limited numbers. We offer Junior, Intermediate and Senior TeamGym. Junior TeamGym members participate in their Gym-for-All class along with TeamGym classes. Training for TeamGym is on Thursdays and/or Saturdays at Onslow College Rec Centre.
Competitive Gymnastics
Competitive gymnastics starts at Step 1 and goes up to Step 10. Depending on their level, our competitive gymnasts train between 4-13 hours per week throughout the year. Competitions are held across the region from the end of term 1 to the beginning of term 3. Competitive gymnasts need to show strength, flexibility, a good attitude and a willingness to train and condition. Participation in the competitive gymnastics programme is through invitation by the coaches. Send us an enquiry through the Contact page if you have any questions.
